Environmental Permitting & Regulatory Approvals
We help new and operating facilities in Kuwait identify the environmental approvals they need, prepare complete applications and manage the process with the competent authorities.
Overview
Many industrial, commercial and infrastructure activities in Kuwait require environmental approval before they begin, and further approvals when they expand or change. Requirements depend on the type of activity, its location and the emissions, discharges and waste it is expected to generate. Identifying them early helps avoid redesign, resubmission and delay later in the project.
Lothan International manages the permitting process directly. We screen the approvals that apply, prepare the application file and supporting documents, submit it through the appropriate channel and follow it up with the authority. When the authority raises comments or requests more information, we prepare the responses together with the client's technical team.
Where an application requires an environmental impact assessment, the study is prepared through an appropriately licensed Lothan Group entity and coordinated by our team, so that the permit file and the study progress on one schedule.

Other government bodies may also have requirements that relate to a project's environmental approval, depending on the sector and the location of the activity.
Permitting requirements depend on the specific activity and must be confirmed with the competent authority for each project.
